Crosbey FAO 215
Emeleen is a robust, drought-tolerant maize with strong stems and large, well-filled cobs held low on the plant. With early starch lay-down, excellent cob ripeness and FAO 200 maturity, it offers a long, flexible harvest window. Suitable for favourable sites and lighter soils, it delivers high-quality forage and strong energy output when sown at optimal populations.
Cob Ripeness
Superb even well filled cobs. Early starch lay down in the grains results in good cob ripeness and high starch content for maturity class 7 variety. Cob ripening days after Lovely + 15
Maturity Group
FAO 215. Early maturity on favourable maize sites. Early starch lay down enables crops to be harvested in good conditions. Long harvest window.
Quality & Digestibility
Large well filled determinate cobs with early starch lay down in the grains. The good cob ripeness drives starch production and allows quality silage to be fed.
Yield
Sow at 38,000 to 42,500 seeds per acre (99,000 to 110,000 seeds/ha) to maximise forage output. Reduce plant populations to 36,000 to 38,000 (90,000 to 94,000/ha) for grain.
When to sow
Sow April to May
